Traveling to Arunachal Pradesh can be one of your dream come true trips if you could plan things rightly. The first thing you should do while planning the journey is to decide where in the green state you want to travel. You will need to know the essential information about the permits and the delicate details about the routes you will be taking to trek through the land. Check the following section of this article to find out all the necessary guidance you would need to traverse through the green lands of Arunachal Pradesh.

Deciding the Itinerary

As we have already said, the first thing you need to do is decide the itinerary. You can research on your own to decide the places you would like to visit. You can also get in contact with the travel agents to find the best places to visit in Arunachal Pradesh. This planning will help you to decide the conveyance and other smaller yet essential details.

Best Time To Visit

If you are traveling to Arunachal Pradesh, make sure to book your ticket between April-May or October-November. These months are the best time to travel to the furthest corners of Arunachal Pradesh. Apart from this general timing, the best time to visit depends on the places you want to visit. It also depends on what you want to see as well. If you are visiting religious places in Nagaland, then you should not plan the journey between November to March. During this time, Tawang gets bitterly cold. Monsoon here starts in June and continues till September. So, this is another time when you should avoid traveling to this place.

Permits for Traveling Arunachal Pradesh

Once you have finalized the places you want to visit, you have to apply for the permits. There are two different types of permits that you should know about. The one is a protected area permit (PAP) essential for foreign travelers. This permit stays valid for 30 days. The other type of permit is Inner Line Permit. You can acquire this permit online. It is better if you are traveling with a group of travelers. It is hard for solo travelers to get a permit for trekking the nooks and corners of Arunachal Pradesh.

So, these are the basic guidelines that you would need to travel through the mountainous paths of Arunachal Pradesh. If you plan following these basics, the journey would be smoother and you will rarely face any hassle.
